Mahony’s PO Boy Shop in New Orleans is very good at rather non-traditinoal poboys. I’ve been a couple of times and have enjoyed their fried green tomatoes and remoulade poboy as well as their oyster-PJ poboy. Their other poboys are pretty good too.  

The other day my good friend Avi (see his blog here) was in town for Siggraph, so we took him to poboys at Mahony’s (Domilicie’s is not open for dinner … that would always be my first choice). 

We ordered a 30 inch catfish poboy and 2 orders of fries. We got this monster of a meal!

How can anyone eat all this food? 

All in all. I like Mahoney’s. Their poboys are really big and cheap. They are open everyday lunch and dinner. They are always friendly. They have $2 bottles of abita special (Wahoo!).
